ORIBE x KUSTAA SAKSI

Golden Threads. Shared Moments.

Introducing our Holiday 2025 Collaboration with Finnish artist Kustaa Saksi, featuring four covetable gift sets in limited-edition packaging.

Saksi's work—inspired by his Nordic culture—blends mythology, geometry, and natural beauty into a rich, modern expression of artistry. With a shared commitment to crafstmanship, storytelling and attention to detail, our collaboration with Saksi elevates secondary packaging from a functional box into an artistic canvas.

Unwrap the Collection

This season, let the #oribeobsessed on your list unwrap the joy of the holidays with gift sets adorned in ornately layered gold foils and intricate embossing—an elegant expression of the season's spirit of generosity.

True to our commitment to sustainability, we partnered with a green packaging provider to produce the exterior packaging at a zero-waste, zero emission facility that uses 100% clean energy and 100% recycled or reused water. The boxes are made from 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) paper printed with soy inks.

Celebrating Nature's Beauty
and the Enduring Power of Craft

This year's artwork takes inspiration from the Norse goddess Sif's golden flowing hair—which symbolizes the prosperity of nature's seasons. Kustaa explains:

“It’s that mix of beauty, change
and nature that inspired this piece.”

Golden Threads

Saksi's design, titled "Golden Threads," draws inspiration from the iconic black and cream design of Oribe’s best-selling Gold Lust Collection and the Oribe Goddess emblem.

The emblem’s design, in turn, inspired his interpretation of Norse mythology, particularly his depiction of the Norse goddess Sif’s golden, flowing hair.

The Tapestry

To further celebrate craft, Oribe commissioned Saksi to bring the woven design to life in the form of a one-of-a-kind tapestry.

Using a traditional Jacquard weaving technique, Saksi combined natural fibers such as mohair, alpaca, cotton and wool with rubber, metal, acrylic and phosphorescent yarns to create complex digital to analog textures.

The tapestry, measuring over 10 feet long, took 6 months to create, using more than 180 pounds of material.

The Artistry of Hair

Drawing inspiration from Saksi's ornate tapestry depicting the Norse goddess of golden hair, Oribe Principal Artist, Nicci Welsh, designed exclusive looks for our Holiday campaign featuring golden thread woven into the hair using intricate braiding techniques.

Treating hair as a fabric that can be shaped and formed, Welsh pays tribute to Saksi's craft while showcasing hair styling as its own art form—and demonstrating the role of Oribe products as a medium in her craft.
